Steady as a Rock
It was raining and cold all day today, no change there then. I heard on the news the USA is to launch a satellite to monitor climate change as they have had the warmest twelve months in their history. This satellite was the brain child of Al Gore and has been in moth balls for the last fourteen years due to political differences in the US. Better late than never I guess, though fourteen years ago would have been good.
I was at the shop this afternoon and finally had a chance to use my Gorillapod in earnest. It is ideal for when I'm photographing books for listing on the internet. I don't have the steadiest hands on the planet, and am ever grateful to the person who invented anti-shake software for cameras. When taking photos of books its fairly important to keep the camera steady and level, so three cheers to the 'pod which did its job splendidly.
Yesterday at Hill Close Gardens, Ann bought some of their rhubarb and today made a crumble with it. Absolutely delicious; shop bought crumble doesn't come within a million miles of it for taste.
Sorry for the fuzziness of today's photo, unfortunately you can't fit a Gorillapod to an HTC smart phone. Now there's an invention waiting for someone!
