Fromberg Fireworks
A wonderful day starting with coffee and cake at a friend's then a Stelzen (roasted pork knee), an Austrian speciality, for lunch. We visited B-I-L this afternoon as there was an afternoon tea/festival at the care home to celebrate the first anniversary of the facility. Unfortunately, he was not not in the mood for a party and decided to stay in bed. My S-I-L and he haven't seen each other for 23 years and it was a lovely reunion; he seemed to understand who she is although he couldn't recognise her.
This evening we went to another festival at the annual parachute jumping event in a neighbouring town where I had some fun with Superzoom. We could see the plane with the jumpers take off and land from where we were sitting at our table and watch the parachutes float over our heads to land the field nearby. The music and firework show started at 10.15pm, it was delayed for 1/4 hour as it was still too light at 10pm! It was spectacular, all the more so because we it was so close to the tables. It took me almost the whole display before I got a decent setting for the fireworks. This is at the very end of the show. The extra photos show some of the action.
