Not far from the back fence, only a couple of 100 metres, the sun came up In a blaze of red and gold. My little Nikon decided it wouldn't fire up properly. It continually showed a purple screen. Finally it righted itself but the spectacle had almost passed and a very patient dog was relieved when we started walking again.
