Piping in the rain

Today wasn't so good and started off rather wet. We decided to drive to Achiltibuie which is a wonderful run right beneath that classic mountain, Stac Pollaidh, which is the subject of my extra picture today.

We found a cafe at the local Piping School - on the other side of the corridor was a fairly small room in which quite a number of local lads and lassies were practising the pipes - when someone opened the door I asked if I could take a quick picture and the noise was deafening!

It turned out that the Achiltibuie Annual Gathering was being held that day so we went along. It was a fairly small event, but it's always fun to join in with local activities. The Gathering was opened by the pipe band which is my Blip for the day. So many different scenes to choose from, but this had to be it.
