Intrepid Niece

Not for the faint of heart! Julia agreed to zip-line upside down! It looks quite bizarre, but the guide had to hold her legs apart so that they didn't touch the steel ropes!

I thought I was brave when I chose to do the "super-mama" - not being young enough to do the "super-chica", or man enough to do the "superman"! This was not caught on camera, as it was raining too much at the time and the camera man didn't want to get his camera wet. It involved wrapping my legs around the waist of the guide and completely letting go of my handholds. I was still in my harness so I felt safe enough. But it felt like flying and was an amazing experience! I highly recommended it to Julia and Beth and they both tried it later. D was the really brave one who went upside down all on his own!

Unfortunately all this was done in the midst of a tropical downpour, so no photos, but an unforgettable experience!
