We may never pass this way again

We drove to Angel Fire, New Mexico today to escape the heat for a few days.  After leaving the interstate, we used the IPhone navigator for directions.  I noticed that most of the roads were not major thoroughfares, but back roads.  We were joking that we would end up on a dirt road before we made it to Angel Fire. Sure enough we ended up on a narrow, muddy dirt road.... It was the best experience.  My youngest son reminded us that it was the journey, not the destination that mattered.  We saw beautiful stands of aspen trees, and incredible vistas that we would have never found otherwise.  And after about 17 miles of dirt, we ended up at our destination.  It's a very comfortable 50F.  Extra photos of the road
