Summer Tour Day 7
Long day today.
We did a tour out to Auschwitz and then to the Royal Salt Mines.
Beautiful summer day but even the sunshine couldn't hide the significance of the place. I was in two minds about going, but glad I did the size of the place really put things into perspective for me and I am glad that they have tried to preserve some dignity in the way that the site is managed even though it attracts lots of tourists.
The afternoon was spent at the Royal Salt Mines - the photo was taken 135m underground. It was a really fantastic place to visit, including the underground chapels.
Tomorrow we head to Liverpool.
