Peace

Feeling reflective, given the recent 7/7 anniversary and the  realisation it is nearly a year since the loss of the Malaysian aeroplane over the Ukraine.  I can remember very clearly the days these incidents happened.  Ten years ago I was at work and heard the news from a colleague.  I'd just been to our reception where I'd had to deal with a protestor to the G8 Summit entering the building. Last July, also at work, we'd had a presentation from our new Chief Executive and he'd chosen speak about the importance of mental well-being in the workplace.  I remember thinking what a bold move that was and going for a walk after work around the botanical garden in Edinburgh on what seemed a perfect summer's evening.  I could hardly believe the news when I saw it.  Sometimes moments are captured and time stands still.
