Homage to Newton

And on to Figueres by train. A smooth ride. Perhaps the least good part of it was spending almost half the cost of the ticket on a taxi from Figueres Villafant station to the centre.... Hmmmm.... Tourists. We saw you coming.

First impressions of Figueres were good though. An outstanding hotel.

And we managed a visit to the Dali museum (see extras for a taster, including the famous Mae West sofa) without queuing outside. When we passed by the museum the following day around 12 noon, there were hundreds of people queuing outside, so the message is probably to go there at 4pm or later.

Later on, we found an excellent restaurant for dinner - L'ou d'or. Three course menu, bottle of wine, and a litre of sparkling water for less than 30 euros even with a tip.
