Lily...

Last few hours down the road.  Mr B was at nursery, so Iain and I took a wander along to Bushey Park before heading out to the airport.

Ive never been through baggage drop and security faster in my life.  From dropping the bag to getting through security must've been 10 minutes, tops.  That included setting off the alarm and getting patted down!

YO! Sushi for a late lunch, a couple of books from the bookshop (Phillip Pullman's Grimm's Fairy Tales and the new Miranda July novel) and then onto the plane - only to sit on the runway for half an hour due to a backlog.

Finally home around 8pm......

I loved being away, but it was nice to get home.

In other news, while we were away, I got an email from Historic Scotland, who were running a food photography competition last month on their social media sites, telling me that I'd won!!  This means that I'll be heading over to Edinburgh Castle for afternoon tea, and a day pass for the Castle!  Not too shabby!
