Box

When I started teaching, I noticed that every teacher I knew, no matter what sector they were in or what stage of their career, had a Box. We looked an odd sight filing out of school with our multicoloured plastic pals. I actually did away with my box for a few years when I had a 'no work at home' policy. It meant long hours in school, but I never had to worry about work once I was home. Since Grace was born, I've had to go back to my trusty box though. Here it is, all packed with marked books and sitting together with my work bag and laptop, ready to begin the new half term tomorrow morning.

I've had the most fantastic week and a half off. Feels like I've been on holiday for a month. Looking back at the blip entries over the past 11 days, I can see so many happy memories - including our wedding anniversary meal, autumn ambling in Blanchland, shopping with sis and Tiddler, lunch with a friend (and fellow blipper) yesterday, visiting my friend and her new baby, the hallowe'en party, seeing my niece and her little girl , snow and of course lots of time to spend with my Gracie Pie. But all good things come to an end. Next stop: Christmas holiday!

Edit: And to top it all off - LEWIS HAMILTON won the F1 Drivers' Championship. On a work note, he is an ex-pupil of mine, so I feel extra proud of him. Well done Lewis!
