Day 2, window & door fitting

A productive day with the fitters arriving at 7.45 am ready to get on with the job. The blip shows our new back door, very simple and in keeping with the windows. The old door (extra picture) was an impressive stable door, but the two halves mean extra locks for security and the tiny window made the utility room very dark.

P came to visit on his recumbent bike for “the grand tour” as he hasn’t been home since we bought the new house. We were given the seal of approval and he is going to help me decide which plants should be removed from the garden.

The fitters finished at lunchtime giving us loads of time to get on with other things. Cupboards assembled for the garage, preparations for the carpet fitters tomorrow and a painting job in the kitchen.
