Light through a butterfly's wing
I had seriously no intention of coming home with a butterfly shot tonight, especially not that of a marbled white, which I've already blipped once this summer. But one thing I did learn, if you pick a moment when the wind is fairly strong the insects have to cling on for dear life, so you can click away to your heart's content. They're pretty reluctant to move. And I don't think I've ever shot the light through a butterfly's wing before. So here you have it.
The flower, by the way, is yarrow, otherwise known as thousand leaf, old man's mustard, angel flower, etc..
Thank you all so much for your kind comments about our choir concert last night. It was a good event and I appreciate your positivity :))
Have a good evening (what's left of it) xx
