Gotcha!

Our plants have been under attack from slugs recently. The pesky molluscs seem to enjoy coming out for an evening meal chez nous. We tried putting ground coffee down (we heard this might deter them) but it didn't work and so yesterday we upped the ante by putting down some slug pellets. This morning we found this slimy creature attached to one of our new plants. I've read that they are also partial to beer (they are attracted to the yeast and barley) so that's always a possibility, but do I really want to waste good beer on the uninvited garden guests?!
