Agios Nikolaos Day 5

Such a lazy day! We headed for our local beach before 11:00 (an unusually early start for us) and didn't leave there until after 4:00. Lunch was beachside in Bueno café, which wasn't the best, especially since Maistral, which we've been to several times was nearby and almost empty.

After the regulatory siesta, glad rags were put on and out we went again. Aperitifs first, then on to La Casa restaurant at the lake, which had been recommended by Georges the night of the cocktails. It was very disappointing, and when we mentioned to our waitress in the bar that we'd been there she gave the impression that places around the lake are expensive and below standard.

First drinks were in the Bridge, right at the junction of lake and sea, which we'd liked before. We asked for another going on for 1:00am and the barman told us that would have to be our last (not at all like Chania, where you'd be served no matter what time it was). Two further stops on the way home meant it was well into the early hours before the sack was hit.
