Tripping the Light Fantastic - BYO Galoshes

We always celebrate the Queen's Birthday with a trip to Sydney to experience the final hours of Vivid, (& to top off a day at the Biennale if the stars align).

Unfortunately, the weather usually defeats us!

Was wondering if there was a word to express intensity of wetness, as opposed to colour....
