Mystery is solved - this is a tape measure  I have used for many years.


- It is kept coiled and fascinated me when pushed into this shape for yesterday’s Tiny Tuesday Mystery challenge.
- I had to be careful to hide the longer strokes marking the half and centimetre marks – I couldn’t make it too easy for you all!
- The small ‘hairs’ that can be seen in the close-up version successfully misled many of you. It is actually a cluster of threads fraying from the edge of the tape.
