Elsinore

This is a view of the back wall of the historic Elsinore Theater in Salem, Ore., which was built in 1926.  Although not readily apparent from this shot, the Elsinore received its name from Shakespeare’s tragedy, Hamlet. The design is based on the historic Elsinore Castle in Denmark which is believed to be the setting William Shakespeare chose for Hamlet.
