Poppies

After an unrelenting day it was a relief to stand and look at these in the rain and fading light. King Lear is finally out of hospital after 2 trips in an ambulance today and much confusion between hospital, care company, carer, neighbours, and family. Mum was grumpy because his arrival interrupted the tennis. If it wasn't quite so dark and tragic it would be funny.
p.s. I think I'll be trying to make use of the opium off these, if they are somniferum ...
