Curious rock formations....

... in Harrogate Valley Gardens, formed a suitable foreground for the dramatic sky this evening.

The menacing cloudscapes have come and gone all day, sometimes accompanied by heavy rain and occasional thunder.

The rocks have been in position for some time and I've never been sure whether they form a deliberate sculpture. The evening light against those clouds added colour to the stones.
