Sonntag... Gaimersheim
I like Sundays in Bavaria (especially if I don't have to head for Munich Airport and the easyJet flight back to Scottieland).
The shops are all closed, and they have a law which prohibits any kind of noisy activity. So church bells and the occasional passing car is about as wild as it gets.
It means a relaxing family day, or a day catching up on chores - so long as they're quiet ones (no lawnmowers, for example).
Today it was especially welcome after 3 consecutive nights out coupled with (in my case) outings to Regensburg and Eichstätt for sightseeing as "minder" for my Rotary Club chums.
So a Sanbittèr and Prosecco on the terrace is the perfect prelude to dinner.
Not warm out there today - disappointing for June.
