I have a nasty feeling that after two weeks here we'll be taking home two mermaids - they got up, had breakfast, went in the pool, had lunch and got back in the pool, they even managed to eat ice creams in the pool.

I don't understand it, I only have to be in there 5 minutes and my fingers turn into prunes.

In other news, I saw a cricket (apparently it can't be a locust because they don't do solo travel) that was so big that Mr K told me it had to be a stick insect - I think as I'm the one with the zoology degree I can tell the difference between something that looks like a stick and something that doesn't, he was forced to eat his words when it reappeared in the garden after the mermaids scared it away.
