The Garden of Earthly Delights

We've had a lovely few days down south with my mum and stepdad and, as ever, it's all flown by far too quickly.

However, we managed to find time to spend a couple of hours this morning with our friends Debbie and Pete, eating delicious cake and admiring their beautiful garden. Debbie is a horticultural professional - and it shows! Every time I see her I'm amazed anew at how long I've known her (over 30 years!) and how she hasn't changed a bit in all that time!

As ever, it was good to catch up on all our lives but there's never enough time to discuss all the important stuff - music, books, cycling and photography among them! I hope it won't be too long until we all meet again.

Meanwhile, we head back to Liverpool tomorrow...
