2015 Sunday -- day After Fireworks

Several times in the 2+ years we've been visiting California'a Central Coast, we've experienced crystal clear days, and today was another of those moments. After the thousands of visitors to this town yesterday, it was the last thing I would have expected. The air was cleared of all haze, moisture, or residue from the July 4th holiday barbecues, beach fires, and fireworks.

We drove the 20 minutes into San Luis Obispo to attend Grace Church, where our speaker, Tim, from camp is the senior pastor and preacher. His sermon was about living in a post-Christian world from 1 Peter 2: 9-25. It was interesting, thought provoking, insightful, and relevant. After the service ended we got to talk with Tim for a few moments, and then we were on our way.

We drove back to the coast to find this gorgeous view and it stayed this way the remainder of the day.
