My uncle always used to say that if you owned a car your hand was never out of your pocket. I'm not sure that's good driving advice. My driving instructor always insisted I had both hands on the wheel while driving.

I knew what he really meant of course. You don't need a huge amount of wisdom to know the cost of keeping a car on the road. Today was no exception.
