Waterlogged

After days and days of rain our backyard is rather waterlogged, (no sign of it letting up either).
Rather a boring few days and it's a long weekend here as well so lots of places closed and I'm starting to feel a bit house bound. Ah well - I've got lots of jobs done that I have been putting off (annoying stuff like housework and ironing) but at least it has also been a good excuse to sit down and do lots of reading.
Thank goodness I caved in a while ago and bought a Kindle - and I love it to bits. I am quite suprised though as I thought I might miss holding an actual book. At times like this when our local Library is closed (and it's not that great anyway), the local bookshops are closed etc, it's just wonderful to have thousands of free books available to download in seconds. I am also able to read books that I wouldn't normally get the chance to read with our limited choice here. It's a touchscreen one - very convenient when holding a cup of coffee - I don't even have to put it down to turn the page - how good is that:) Yep - I have to confess to definately being a convert.
