We stayed overnight with m-in-law so we could travel from her house to my f-in-law in Worcestershire.
I suggested that Clive rang his Dad to see if we could bring his mum (they separated about 26 years ago - never married so never divorced) as she enjoyed having us with her. We think she is lonely and we were reluctant to leave her so soon.
Dad was agreeable so off we set and he bought us all lunch at The Holt Fleet. The pub is right next ro the River Grange. It was very warm but the heavens opened soon after we arrived. It was quite entertaining watching the people at the benches on the River Bank make a dash for it!
In the evening we travelled over the 2nd Severn crossing on our way back to Wiltshire.
For several years we have been trying to persuade M-in-law to sell her cottage and move to be near us. Eventually she agreed and had a buyer last month so she took the cottage off the market!! Luckily (for us) my s-in-law lives 3 miles from her to keep an eye on "things" otherwise she would be a great(er) worry for us!
