trampolines...

...glistening in the early morning mist and so many of them decorating grass trees and parrot bushes this damp morning.

These really are called trampoline webs and above the web are 'knock down threads'. An unsuspecting beastie flies or wanders through the upper threads, gets knocked down into the trampoline which vibrates alerting the waiting spider lurking in a silken funnel below the trampoline...and hey presto, breakfast, lunch or dinner!

I'm off to the tropical north of Queensland tomorrow (hopefully not trampolining from storm could to storm cloud!) and internet connections may be a tad sporadic and blips a tad erratic.
