Smoke Filled Skies

After a wonderful evening of dock parties with friends and wonderful fireworks, we awoke to a yellow sun which progressively gave way to smoke filled skies. This was taken from the west side of San Juan Island looking towards Canada, from the Lime Kiln Lighthouse...a surreal scene.

After some checking we found that there were fires near Port Hardy and Port Alberni which have not been contained.
