Adapt Or ... Leitz Summicron 50mm DR
While we were off on vacation, this adapter, which I ordered at the beginning of April, showed up. This well-machined and substantial black tube fits between the mount of old Leitz telephoto lenses and that of Micro 4/3 camera bodies. It takes the place of the venerable Leitz Visoflex, a beautifully made, yet cumbersome mirror reflex housing. I Blipped this apparatus here previously. Kipon bills itself as producing the greatest variety of such adapters to allow the continued use of so-called "heritage" lenses on modern digital cameras. This is one of their latest offerings. I have another adapter - no-name - which has served well for the last two years. The Kipon is more substantial and there seems to be less "slop" when focusing. We'll see...
