Just Like Old Times

Up and dressed, "fully booted and spurred", as the saying goes ready for the Mayors Civic Service.
I got the impression that the lack of commemoration of Armed Forces Day was remembered today by only three veterans making an appearance.
I enjoyed the parade itself and the church service but less enamoured of the usual 'bunfight' at the reception, the queue for a free pasty stretched to the door.
Instead a coffee at the Shed where Clare joined me, shopping followed by dinner saw the afternoon slip by.
Clare and I then took ourselves off to our 'local', the Seaview, for a couple of drinks.
