Sponge cake rainbow

These are small samples of the coloured sponges I'm making for a rainbow wedding cake next week. I was quite chuffed to get the colours right! :)

All the coloured sponges are now in the freezer (they keep really well), and next week I'll do the last minute things such as the buttercream and icing. Considering I'm working all sorts of random shifts in my full time job, I need to be really organized to get everything done and ready on time, including the shopping for the ingredients. Thank god the sponges keep well in the freezer, otherwise I'm not too sure how I would manage. Lots of work as well, as I only have a small mixer and a small oven, so only one at a time!
