Saint Maria in Trastevere, Rome

The Basilica of Saint Maria in Trastevere dates back to 340

Tonight we had our first dinner in our trip to Italy

We overlooked this wonderful church and just realized how lucky we are to experience some of these wonders. This is reported to be one of the oldest churches in Rome

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner , but this was second to realizing how beautiful the basilica really was.

It closed before we finished dinner, so it's on the agenda for tomorrow, a 5 minute walk from our B&B
