How many?
Fantastic Mr Fox was doing his usual thing - laying in the sun sleeping. Moments later he was joined by what are obviously two sub-adult cubs, one of which appears to have inherited the slothful gene the other of which is far more lively. Then, as I scrabbled around to find a long lens and CF card to slap in the camera, out saunters Mrs Fox looking, well foxy I suppose. She gave the two youngsters and the old man a quick check, gave me a bit of a hard stare and wandered back off into the bushes. Five minutes later the other three got up and went off to join her.
This is a replacement blip for what was frankly a rather ordinary shot which can and will be retaken and reposted at another time. For a slightly larger mammal that you certainly wouldn't want to have walking around on your garage roof you might want to have a look at my shot from this time last year
