Mackintosh Memorial Homes, Halifax
The Mackintosh Homes were erected in memory of John Mackintosh, the "Toffee King" (inventor of Quality Street, Rolo and many other delicacies) They were originally intended for ex-Mackintosh employees and were opened in 1925.
The homes are now available for Calderdale residents of over 60, whose good character can be vouched for by 2 responsible people.
A detailed application form has to be completed and submitted to the Trustees for their consideration.
