Go East young man.

After doing our mundane Saturday jobs we decided to travel!.
Firstly we went to Waltham Abbey which was great - so much history in a small place - even King Harold's final resting place which was incredibly ordinary!
From there we drove to Lee Valley Country Park where we found the most delightful spot by the river for a picnic (and a nap).
We then drove down to Southend - which was busier than we have ever seen it. We had to walk along the pier and were delighted to still be able to get a cuppa at the end, even though it was gone 7.00 by this point. 
Eventually got home at about 9.30 - what a fab day!
