Still Life

This pigeon persists in gliding down to settle on a thin twig in the beech tree and amazes me by managing not to fall off as it bends low under his weight!  I'm always dashing for the camera to catch him at it but by luck today I already had the long lens fixed on.

The other thing I love is how artificial he looks ... particularly the markings.  If you told me this was a plastic hand painted model I would believe you.
