A Day At A Time.

In The Dock

The view from our room at the Rock Hotel, Gibraltar. Perhaps not everyone's cup of tea, but a fantastic backdrop to what is after all, a commercial port.

There was even a submarine tied up at the wharf opposite the hotel.

All went to plan and we entered Gibraltar without any queue yesterday. A wonder in itself.

The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable, although the water pressure was so low we had to run round in the shower to get wet. Dinner was first rate and all agreed that the newly refurbished Rock Hotel was definitely top of the league.

Today we went for a quick tour around the Rock in the car, via Europa Point and Catalan Bay, before taking Mum for another trip down Memory Lane or up Main Street, depending on your point of view.

After a delicious lunch at Sacarello's, we headed back across the border to Spain (no cars at all this time, just us).
