Life with The Pinks

By suzypink

that's the way to do it!

This morning we went to church for the family service. It was a good service, what I caught of it, between sorting out snacks/drinks/colouring pens/toys/toilet trips etc!! Monty the mouse was there, and he is always a big hit with the mini pinks, and they sat quietly to watch him. The jubilee singers performed their song again for the congregation. I also managed to chat with some friends which was lovely.

After lunch in the garden we got on with project "punch and judy" - the homework for half term. And very proud moment in the pink family, Master Pink has learnt to sew! He tried really hard and did really well, and managed to sew up the end of Daddy's sock to make a crocodile puppet. We also made a string of sausages out of a pair of tights - the only thing was is that I couldn't find any old tights suitable for sausages, so he had a brand new pair of M&S 7 denier!! I'd have laddered them anyway! So it's done. Puppets are made, theatre with curtains are made. We haven't made scenery or written a script, but we've run out of time , and I think he's done really well.

We finished the day off with an impromtu get together in the back garden with our neighbours. I do love having neighbours who are friends too, and so do the children. :)
