Wild flowers

Despite the rotten weather Ollie has to have his walk, and I get cabin fever if I'm stuck indoors for too long, so it was on with the oilskins and wellies and out we went.

The rain was relentless, as was the wind!  The poor bronze fennel and several plants in the flower border in the back garden have taken a hammering.  Hope I can rescue some of them for the second Sunday garden opening tomorrow. . .

Spent the day making 40 iced cherry buns and 20 iced chocolate buns for the teas tomorrow - they are in the Marengo Community Garden in St Margaret's Hope, so not my responsibility, I'm glad to say!

By early evening the wind dropped and the haar came rolling back in and the sound of the fog horn booms through the mist . . .
