Grand Old Lady

Today has mainly been about Amy our greyhound, a rescued dog, from the Greyhound Trust. She's an old lady now, we believe she could be as old as fourteen.
She developed a limp so was packed off to the vets with Clare and Sam for company.
After an examination the vet diagnosed age and nerve damage caused by age. In layman a terms for the children;
"The lights are on but nobody's in and there is a bit of a time lapse between the message leaving the brain and reaching the legs".

A course of tablets and we'll see how she is in a couple of weeks. She seems to like the tablet wrapped in ham with a shortbread biscuit to follow!!
