Bosham Harbour
Today Mum and I took a leisurely trip to Bosham Harbour near Chicester via coffee and scones at the Devil's Punch Bowl on the old A3 at Hinehead.
We reached Bosham around lunchtime to find it was almost high tide, meaning the harbour road round the inlet and giving access to the quayside was flooded. This didn't stop sone people trying to use it, but they soon had to do a U-turn!
We took a drier route onto the quay, and had a picnic lunch watching the yacht races. It all seemed a bit chaotic, but eventually we decided that a gunshot signified the winner of a class, while a blast on the hooter was given as a yacht or dingy passed the finishing line.
Eventually we headed back into the village for ice cream, before taking an even more leisurely route through the Hampshire countryside home and a Chinese take away for dinner. A great day out!
