unexpected!

Heavy rain from early this morning, a bit of a shock after the great week we have had, but good for the garden.

Headed to Portnoo after working this morning, I didn’t expect the beach to be bathed in sunshine. A very low tide & lots of people had been across to Inishkeel Island for a talk on St Connell & I assume (I was too late for the talk) the bell that is due to be on display in the nearby Dolmen Centre on 13th July.

Off to a 4th July BBQ in Mountcharles, Donegal this evening, any excuse for a celebration here!

Update - Actually met two Americans at the BBQ, who have both separately relocated to Donegal, interesting to hear their view on the quality of life they now enjoy.
