Mmmmm... Deeeelisssshhhhh!
I decided to cook our normal Sunday roast yesterday for a change so I didn't have to spend all this afternoon stuck in the kitchen.
Enjoyed a great time of fellowship in Christchurch this morning, beginning our 6 week Starting Point course prior to the service. Once the service finished, me and Matthew decided to go for a walk from the Fourteen Locks Canal Centre in Newport, before driving back home.
It was great not to worry about having to cook a big roast dinner, particularly as I wanted to watch the tennis and football matches on tv!
I did decide to make a cake instead though and instead of my usual victoria sponge recipe I chose a Jamie Oliver Queen Victoria Sponge recipe. And boy, it is absolutely lush!! It has orange zest and rose water in the cake mixture and raspberry jam, jersey double cream with vanilla and raspberries sandwiched inbetween each cake!!!! Beyond delish!!!
