£200 million...

This is the controversial Energy from Waste Plant that is under construction at Greatmoor near Calvert.It is a massive building project which won't be completed until Spring 2016. Whilst I think there is a need for installations such as this I don't understand why it has to be so visible; as you leave Waddesdon on the A41 heading East you can see it. When you get to Woodham you can see it, and when you get to Grendon Underwood you can see it. I guess pretty soon you will smell it too. One thing that is sensible is the way that the rubbish arrives at the plant. An old railway line has been converted into an HGV roadway which means that the traffic will not have any effect on the villages, only those that are on the main routes will there be an increase in HGVs...such as Waddesdon & Kingswood.

I went to visit Mum this am just for an hour or so & came back the pretty route which has lots of photo opportunities. She is still progressing well.
