Illawarra Flame tree

For months we have been trying to keep Tex, the resident horse, from eating this young plant. We finally succeeded with the installation of electric fence (white band in the background) around the seedling. Young shoots are slowing appearing now and am looking forward to seeing this red flowering plant next winter.
