Snailbeach Mine

Backblip from yesterday.

It would have been my mother's 89th birthday so I picked some flowers from her garden and went to put them on hers and a number of the family graves that are in the cemetary. They go back many generations at Pontesbury, west of Shrewsbury.

While we were there we continued to the remains of Snailbeach lead mine which is an interesting and photogenic piece of industrial archaeology.

There are a few photos in the extras. Two are especially for blippers dorsetb and jophreeves - a couple of sieving  machines and their "made in Enfield" plaque. The others are of a couple of the buildings.

My son Shropshirelad is working in Georgia (the Russian one) at the moment, so there's one of me with the flowers for him to see.
