Heron in a tick
I set off for the estuary this morning thinking I had an hour to get a walk and a blip in. I was lucky that the kotuku was feeding quite close to the entrance because I had hardly got clicking when my husband rang to say we were to go to a blessing of a house ceremony earlier. So a few more clicks and then dash off. Stayed until after lunch then off to interview an old sailor on his memories of working ships on our coast. Home again and found I hadn't made the beds but the washing was dry.
So the kotuku it is. I just wish I had had longer to watch.
Tea and rugby. Go the Highlanders.
