Loving memory
After the natural excitement of thunderstorms a return to the garden for today's blip: the office was busy with activity and discussion but not very photogenic.
This rose is named as in the title. We first encountered it at the Glasgow Garden Festival in 1988 and ordered a couple of bushes for the garden of the house we had just moved in to, and where we still are.
After a year of settling in they have kept producing these wonderful rich velvety blooms with their lovely perfume, one of the things that attracted us to the rose.
They looked particularly good ahead of tonight's overnight rain!
