Back blip.

I could ironically talk about the effect that such bright sun has a town like Oldham, making even parts of Oldham look pretty.

I could talk about the combination of expanding larger city centres such as Manchester, coupled with the effect of out of town shopping malls like the Trafford Centre, easy access to motorways, the growth of high street chains massively hitting smaller stores and shops, and the subsequent effect on the likes of Oldham (and other similar small towns) so that even when they offer three hours free parking at weekends, the place is still like a ghost town.
